EVAL

Evaluate a symbolic expression with real values.

Syntax

EVAL(expression,variable,value,...)

EVAL(SYM(X^2+1),X,3)

Details

Requires one expression followed by variable/value pairs. Values use Double.parseDouble: supply numeric literals, not scalar-variable names or arithmetic expressions. Returns the numeric result as a StringOperator, matching the existing handler.

Matrix names and editable targets in examples are placeholders for variables you have created. Result-specific EXTRACT keys are not inventoried here.
