RainbowStats™ · Distributions commands

LOGNORMAL_DIST

Construct a lognormal distribution.

Syntax

LOGNORMAL_DIST(mu,sigma)

Example or template

LOGNORMAL_DIST(0,1)

Details

If log(X) is normal with mean mu and standard deviation sigma, X is lognormal. These are log-space parameters. Corrects the old dispatcher, which accidentally constructed NormalDistributionModel. The existing LogNormalDistributionModel supports PDF, CDF, quantiles and sampling; its characteristic function is explicitly unsupported, so CF outputs and the generic all-charts slideshow can fail.

Model validation and rendering follow the installed implementation. Object placeholders such as DENSITY refer to variables you supply.

Available extracts

Save the command result in a variable, then use EXTRACT(result, "key"). Availability can depend on the input form and fitted model.

In indexed patterns such as beta:n, replace n with the required index.
