OECD

Load one OECD Data Explorer series through the cached server provider.

Syntax

OECD("agency,dataset,version","selection")

Exactly two literal text arguments are required. Quote the complete flow so that its commas stay within the first argument. Identifiers preserve case and punctuation and are passed directly to evaluateOECD(flow,selection); they are not evaluated as arithmetic or resolved through FRED.

Find the codes

Search the OECD dataset catalogue, then inspect the selected dataset's structure and codelists, or copy a query from OECD Data Explorer's Developer API panel. The flow is agency,dataset,version, including an explicit structural version. The selection is the complete single-series dimension key in that dataset's dimension order. Select one explicit code in every position; empty dimensions, wildcards and plus-separated lists are not supported by this single-series provider. Do not assume country, frequency and measure occupy the same positions across datasets. The provider also rejects responses containing multiple series.

Template

S=OECD("<agency>,<dataset>,<version>","<complete-single-series-dimension-key>")
LINE_CHART(S)

Replace every angle-bracket placeholder with real codes from the selected dataset. This is a template, not an executable example with verified series codes.

Returned object and caching

Returns a SeriesOperator through the server's evaluateOECD(flow,selection) implementation. Memory and disk caches are checked before background retrieval. Cached observations can remain available during refresh. A first uncached request may return an empty series while queued; retry later. An empty result does not prove an invalid code. OECD rate limits and temporary access failures can delay retrieval.

Values and attribution

The supplied provider scales each OBS_VALUE by 10^UNIT_MULT into base units and preserves missing observations as dated NaNs. Percentages remain expressed in percentage units. Metadata and observation flags are retained by the provider. Retain source attribution and check dataset-specific and third-party reuse restrictions.
