RANDOM

Sample a distribution into a numeric array.

Syntax

RANDOM(distribution,count)

Example or template

RANDOM(NORMAL_DIST(0,1),100)

Details

Count is cast to int and must be between 1 and 10000. Uses the active tool’s existing seeded java.util.Random; successive calls advance its state. Returns NumberArrayOperator.

Model validation and rendering follow the installed implementation. Object placeholders such as DENSITY refer to variables you supply.
