Important: RainbowStats provides analytical and educational tools. It does not provide investment, trading, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it does not execute financial transactions.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of rainbowstats.com, the RainbowStats plugin, its Model Context Protocol ("MCP") tools, charts, scripts, data displays, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). RainbowStats is operated by William Douaire Igoe ("RainbowStats," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Services only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Services if doing so would violate applicable law or another agreement binding you.

2. The Services

RainbowStats offers tools for retrieving, transforming, analyzing, and visualizing economic and financial time-series data. Features may include statistical scripting, regression, correlation, distribution analysis, forecasting, simulations, and interactive charts. Some features operate through ChatGPT, Codex, or another compatible MCP client; others operate directly on rainbowstats.com.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature. We do not promise that a particular data series, command, chart, model, or client integration will always be available or remain unchanged.

3. Educational use; no professional advice

All data, calculations, estimates, forecasts, simulations, scripts, charts, and commentary are provided for general informational, research, and educational purposes only. Nothing provided through the Services is a recommendation or an offer to buy, sell, hold, or value any security, derivative, commodity, currency, or other financial instrument.

RainbowStats is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, tax adviser, accountant, or law firm. Use independent judgment and consult qualified professionals before making financial, business, legal, or tax decisions. You are solely responsible for decisions made using information obtained from the Services.

4. Data and model limitations

The Services rely on third-party data and software and may contain delays, omissions, revisions, transcription errors, modeling assumptions, or calculation errors. Data may be preliminary, revised after publication, adjusted differently by different providers, or unavailable without notice. Historical relationships and simulated or forecast results do not guarantee future outcomes.

You are responsible for checking important results against authoritative sources and validating scripts, units, frequencies, date alignment, transformations, assumptions, and model specifications before relying on them.

5. Third-party services and data

RainbowStats may retrieve or display content from government agencies, central banks, exchanges, market-data services, and other external providers. It may also operate within a third-party client such as ChatGPT. Those services and data are governed by their own terms, licenses, availability, and privacy practices. RainbowStats does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.

You must comply with applicable third-party attribution, redistribution, and usage requirements. Inclusion of a data source or link does not imply sponsorship or endorsement by that provider, and RainbowStats is not sponsored or endorsed by OpenAI.

6. Your inputs and permitted use

You retain any rights you have in scripts, prompts, parameters, and other material you submit ("Inputs"). You grant RainbowStats a limited license to process and transmit Inputs only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Services and respond to your requests..

Subject to these Terms and third-party data restrictions, you may use and export RainbowStats results for lawful personal, educational, research, or business purposes. You may not represent third-party data as your own, remove required attribution, or imply that RainbowStats or a data provider endorses your conclusions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activity;
• submit credentials, payment-card data, government identifiers, protected health information, or other restricted sensitive data;
• interfere with, overload, disrupt, probe, or bypass the security or rate limits of the Services or a data provider;
• introduce malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems, networks, data, or accounts;
• use automated means to extract or redistribute data in violation of applicable licenses or provider terms;
• misrepresent the source, accuracy, or meaning of results, or use the Services to facilitate market manipulation or financial fraud;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights; or
• use the Services in a way that violates the terms or policies of the client through which you access them.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including RainbowStats software, interfaces, visual designs, original documentation, command descriptions, and branding, are owned by RainbowStats or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are granted to RainbowStats trademarks, source code, or proprietary materials. Third-party data and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Availability and suspension

The Services may be unavailable because of maintenance, data-provider outages, network failures, client changes, security events, or circumstances outside our control. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or respond to excessive or abusive use.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." RAINBOWSTATS DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY MODEL, SCRIPT, CHART, FORECAST, OR DATA POINT IS SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR DECISION.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAINBOWSTATS AND ITS OPERATOR, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, TRADING LOSSES, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF RAINBOWSTATS FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO RAINBOWSTATS FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not subject to a different mandatory forum under applicable consumer law will be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the date above. By continuing to use the Services after revised Terms take effect, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.

14. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and RainbowStats concerning the Services and supersede prior statements on that subject.
